Most Instagram marketing tips are all the same 5-7 tips that have been regurgitated so many times, that you could probably write your own 5 tip blog post about them. Right? Lol
Well, my goal is to deliver to you, some new information.
Things you might not have heard before, that you can implement right away into your marketing!
You see, I actually used this information to build a huge following on Instagram. Combined, my wife and I have over 50,000+ followers now. And we get leads and sales from the work that we’ve done on Instagram every single day.
But it wasn’t always like that. In the beginning, it took a massive amount of work. And some trial and error to work out the kinks.
And within a couple of months, we started recruiting and making sales right out of our Instagram following.
We were Insta-grinders (attached to our devices 24/7) and we learned some things the hard way. And my hope is that you can learn from our mistakes!
So here’s 5 Instagram marketing tips that I think are absolutely key, to having a successful Instagram business account.
Instagram marketing tip #1 – Have an offer in your bio. Have something that you are giving away, in exchange for an email address. Because that should be the goal here. Building a list. Successful marketers and home business owners are successful, because they have a list.
Think about it. When you buy something nowadays, they always ask for your email. From the pizza place to the department store. They all want you on their list, so they can send you offers, discounts, and exclusive information.
Your business should be no different. You want to give something away, that your target market would love. If you’ve got a travel business, then maybe you give away a top 10 low-cost destination guide. If you’ve got a health food business, maybe you give away a secret recipe for awesome breakfast shakes.
Whatever it is, it should be some of your best stuff. You want someone to come across your account and go, (no way, they’re just giving this away?)
Instagram marketing tip #2 – Use hashtags, but not just any hashtags. Get targeted, do some research. Making up all of your own hashtags, and using broad terms like #fun or #exciting is a waste of time.
Yes you need your own brand, and should be using a hashtag with it. But the main purpose of your hash-tagging should be about reaching a larger audience. #picoftheday might get you some likes, but it’s not going to get you leads and sales.

Instagram marketing tip #3 – Schedule your posts with Hootsuite. It’s an application you can put on your phone. And it pushes out your content and notifies you to post your stuff at the optimal times of the day.
This was a game changer for us quite honestly. Posting at the right time of will boost engagement, likes, and followers. And it’s noticeable right away.
So you should definitely be scheduling your content. Plus, then you don’t have to think about. You get the notification and then just post it. It’s a no-brainer!
Instagram marketing tip #4 – Observe the 80/20 rule for posting. Maybe even closer to 90/10 with this one and it’s super important. If you’re promoting a network marketing business, especially.
I see people doing this one wrong all of the time. They do promotional post after promotional post after promotional post all day long. And then wonder why no one is joining their deal.
Here’s why. People are not on Instagram to buy your products. Ever.
They get on to be entertained, enlightened, and educated. That’s what people like. Not to be bombarded with your promo posts. So be selective, and run your posts through those 3 filters. And if it doesn’t fall under one of those categories, don’t post it!
Instagram marketing tip #5 – Grow your account daily. Now this one is a learned skill that I got over time. And through analyzing my own data. Most of your new leads, are going to be from new followers. It might be counter to what you’ve already learned, but it’s true.
So make new friends! Go out and follow some more people. Follow people back when they follow you. Engage with the folks that like your pics. Not to recruit them, but to just be friends!
I get leads everyday, just by reaching out to people and saying hi! When your account is set up the right way, and you’re not posting a bunch of garbage, your account will start growing by at least 100 new followers everyday!
